Dr. Parsons specializes in primary and revision joint replacement of the shoulder hip, knee and elbow. In addition, he performs shoulder arthroscopy, fracture reconstruction, evaluation of failed prior surgery and nonoperative treatment of all disorders of these joints. His practice includes the following special procedures:

Dr. Parsons has extensive training in knee hip and shoulder replacement with a focus on rapid recovery and tissue-sparing techniques. The A.V.A.T.A.R™ program, pioneered by King and Parsons Orthopedic Center, focuses on personalized solutions, concierge level care and a superior experience for patients – all with the goal of better outcomes faster. A regional leader in outpatient joint replacement, Dr. Parsons is able to allow a majority of patients to recovery in the comfort of their own home. He is the first and currently only surgeon in New England to offer the Jiffy Knee muscle and tendon sparing knee replacement technique.

Dr. Parsons background includes extensive experience working with the orthopedic industry on implant and instrument design, and surgical navigation tools. He is a frequent faculty member teaching other surgeons about principles and techniques of advanced joint replacement care. His research has fostered nearly 40 peer-reviewed journal publications, over 10 book chapters and many national and international presentations. He has been elected a Top Doctor in New Hampshire yearly and recognized as a leading physician by Castle Connelly.

Dr. Parsons is also passionate about transforming musculoskeletal care to be more cost effective particularly for self-insured employees. King and Parsons Orthopedic Center has started A.V.A.T.A.R™ Bundled Solutions which offers bundled payments and direct contracting for joint replacement care. This program offers concierge joint replacement care at a fraction of the cost with a fraction of the complications.
